We had a fantastic experience at a traditional Japanese hotel with friendly staff. The onsen was beautiful and the homemade food was delicious. The futon beds were comfortable and the location was peaceful. The bus stop nearby was convenient for getting around.
Breakfast delights, but could use more vegetarian options.

We had the pleasure of staying at a lovely traditional Japanese guesthouse on the outskirts of Matsumoto. The room for three was spacious, clean, and had warm duvets. We enjoyed experiencing the traditional Japanese way of life by opting for the public bath, which was a great choice. The staff were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to help us. The highlight of our stay was the delicious, traditional Japanese breakfast, served with impeccable table service. We also loved taking advantage of the outdoor and private hot spring baths, which added a romantic touch to our stay. The location may be a bit far from downtown, but the tranquility and nearby hiking trails made up for it. I highly recommend this traditional Japanese guesthouse for an authentic experience.

Conveniently located outside the city center with easy access by bus. Comfortable and spacious room furnished in traditional style. Enjoyed the variety of local specialties for both dinner and breakfast. Polite, though limited English-speaking staff made us feel at home. Will definitely return for another authentic ryokan experience.

I chose this hotel for attending a vendor expo and was pleased with my stay on a half board plan. Checking in until 6:00 PM made it convenient for my busy schedule. The traditional Japanese experience was exceptional, especially watching the soba noodles being made. The staff went above and beyond in their helpfulness.
The only drawback was the lack of a dedicated business center, which would have been useful for working remotely.

The traditional vibe of the ryokan was so cool, and the onsens were super relaxing. We had a massive Kaiseki dinner that was sooo delicious, but we could barely finish it all. The staff were really friendly and made our stay even more enjoyable. And the best part? The beautiful view of the Japanese alps!
The only thing we wished for was a bit more nightlife around the ryokan. It would've been awesome to have some fun activities or a bar nearby to hang out with our friends.

There were no decorations, music or festive events, which detracted from the holiday spirit. , the slim mattresses were uncomfortable, leading to restless nights.
